Welcome to the Town of Lyons!

Nestled in the Southeast corner of Wisconsin, in Walworth County, and bordered by the cities of Lake Geneva and Burlington, the Town of Lyons was established in 1839.

The Town is home to the White River, which provides opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, as well as, wildlife habitat. The White River Bike Trail runs east and west through the center of the Township. The Town boasts nearly 20 miles of state designated Rustic Roads.

Approximately 3700 people live in the Town of Lyons.

The current Municipal Center was built in 2005 and houses the Highway Department, Volunteer Fire Department/Rescue Squad, and the Town Hall. Offices for the Town Clerk, Building Inspector, and Walworth County Sheriff are also in the Municipal Center that is located at 6339 Hospital Road.

An elected Town Board that consists of three voting members, plus clerk and treasurer, governs the Town of Lyons. Meetings are held every 2nd Monday at 7:00pm at the Town Hall. There is also a Planning Commission, consisting of five appointed members, that meets the Wednesday before the Town Board.
